William "Bill" D. Moss

William David “Bill” Moss, age 65 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2024 at his home.  Bill was born on July 10, 1959 in Hagerstown, MD and was a son of Edna Jean (Sensel) Moss of Reisterstown, MD and the late Marvin Wesley Moss.   

In addition to his father, Bill was preceded in death by two infant sons, Brandon and Nathaniel, from his first marriage.

Surviving besides his mother, Edna Jean Moss are his wife Sharon A. Keplinger Moss; one son, Nick A. Moss and wife Madi of Petersburg, WV; one daughter Hannah Moss Baughman and husband Codie of Whiteman Airforce Base in Missouri; several grandchildren; one brother, Harry Moss of Westminster, MD and one sister, Debra Moss Jasilaitis of Reisterstown, MD and several nieces and nephews.

Bill was a 1977 graduate of Dover High School in Dover, Delaware. After high school, he traveled for work and settled in Petersburg. He started Appalachian Automotive and later ventured to Appalachian Landscape and Development for 25 plus years. He was a Christian by faith and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.  

Bill’s family will receive friends on Saturday, December 28th from 3 – 5 P.M. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 5 PM with Pastor Craig Howard.
