William Idleman Obituary

         

 William Clyde Idleman, age 86, of Mount Storm, WV passed away on Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Moran Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Westernport, MD.

Mr. Idleman was born November 24, 1934 in Mount Storm, WV and was a son of the late William Glenn Idleman and Anna Elizabeth (Stark) Idleman. 

In addition to his parents, Mr. Idleman was preceded in death by one daughter, Anna Marie Idleman ;  one sister, Helen Berard and two brothers-in-law, George Berard  and Harold Getz.

Mr. Idleman is survived by his wife of nearly 63 years, Nadine (Getz) Idleman; two daughters, Judy (Kevin) Shreve of Keyser, WV and Helen (Manoj)Mathew of Ellicott City, MD; four grandchildren, Jacob Mathew, Caleb Shreve, Zach Shreve and Alyssa Mathew; three sisters , Lois (Curt)  Davis of Maineville, Ohio, Sharon (Donald) Kessel of Mount Storm, WV and Nancy (Frank) Nesselrodt of Keyser, WV; two brothers, Larry (Sharon) Idleman of Keyser, WV and Dwight (Sheila) Idleman of Mount Storm, WV; several nieces and nephews including Rusty Getz and Penny Getz of Mount Storm, WV. 

Mr. Idleman served in the United States Army in Germany.  He was a charter member of the Mt. Storm Fire Company.  He was a member of the Mt Storm United Methodist Church and maintained the church grounds for several years.   He hauled food for the food pantry and helped to deliver fruit and Christmas food baskets. 

 A  Military Graveside Service will be conducted Monday, December 7, 2020 at 1:30 PM in the Mt. Storm Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Idleman officiating and Military Honors accorded by Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454 and West Virginia Army Honor Guard.
