Wesley Mark Moreland

Wesley Mark Moreland, age 62, of Mt. Storm, WV passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2023 at his home while under the care of hospice.

Mark was born on February 5, 1961 at Mt. Storm, WV and was a son of the late Carl Wesley Moreland and Angie Irene (Kline) Moreland.  In addition to his parents, Mark was preceded in death by an infant brother and an infant sister.

Mark is survived by one daughter, Chelsee Moreland of Mt. Storm, WV and one son, Brandon Wesley Moreland of Mt. Storm, WV; one sister, Norma Black of Cascade, MD and one brother, Earl Allen Moreland of Mt. Storm, WV.

Mark was a 1979 graduate of Union High School.  He worked as a well tender for Chesapeake Energy and also worked for Allegheny and Arch Coal Companies until he was disabled.  Mark was an avid hunter and enjoyed the outdoors. 

Graveside services will be Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM at the Alkire Cemetery Mt. Storm, WV with Pastor James Reed officiating.  Interment will follow in the Alkire Cemetery.
