Wayne Clinton Cook

      Wayne Clinton Cook, age 75 of Moorefield, WV went to be with Lord on September 30, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.   He was born March 29, 1943 in Moorefield, WV and was the son of the late Joseph Cook and Ethel (Simmons) Cook.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Leona Whitworth and one brother, Roger Cook.

      Mr. Cook worked in construction in Virginia.

       Wayne is survived by one daughter, Sherry Cook Goldizen and husband J. R. Goldizen of Petersburg, WV and grandson, Trey Goldizen of Leesburg, VA, one son, Joey Cook of Moorefield, WV; mother of Wayne’s children, Diana Cook Barr of Moorefield, WV; three brothers, Ron Cook of Ohio, Stanley Cook of Moorefield, WV and Ernest Cook of Florida and several nieces and nephews. 

     A Memorial service was held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at his homeplace on Cold Springs Road in Moorefield with Rev. Gary Crislip.
