Walbert "Pete" J. Peters

Walbert Jackson “Pete” Peters died on Tuesday, January 28th at 6:09 PM at his home.

Born on March 27, 1939, in Rock Oak, WV, He was the son of Ray Courtland Peters and Nova Park Peters. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years Rebecca Snyder Peters.

He is survived by three sons, Michael (Stacey), David (Darlene), and Adam; three granddaughters Kelsie (Taylor) York, Carson (Chris) Bobbie, and Kerrigan (Trevor) Burkhalter; and three great grandsons, Jackson and James York and Oliver Bobbie.

He graduated from Moorefield High School and West Virginia University. He was a salesman by nature and owned and operated Petersburg Electronics which he purchased in March 1984.

He had a lifelong love of aviation. He was a member of Main Street Methodist Church.

He lived life to the fullest every day and leaves behind no regrets.

“Pete” Peters from Petersburg will be missed by many customers, friends, and family.

As per his wishes his body will be cremated and a Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Gary Michael's Office Building (former Petersburg Post Office Building) from 3:00 till 6:00 PM. This is a celebration to have friends, family and community to stop by and share stories and fellowship. There will be pictures, memory tables and light food and drink.
