Ty Hunter VanMeter

Ty Hunter VanMeter, age 32 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2024 in Petersburg, WV. Ty was born on March 20, 1992 in Morgantown, WV and was the son of Sally and Ed Winebrenner of Cabins, WV.

In addition to his parents, Ty is survived by three brothers, Cody VanMeter, Damien VanMeter (Cheyenne) and McKale Schultz; one sister, Klowie Schultz; his partner Caitlin Kimble; three sons, Ryland, Rocky and Renley; nephews, Tyler, Quentin, Morgan, and Brantley; one niece, Aviana; grandmother, Sue VanMeter and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ty was a graduate of Petersburg High School and was later employed at Pilgrim’s Pride in Moorefield, West Virginia. Ty loved to spend time with his family and his amazing smile and infectious laughter will be missed by many. Ty was a beacon of light and warmth in the lives of those who knew him. Ty’s passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, but his spirit will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of those who loved him.

Funeral service will be Friday, July 12, 2024 at 12 Noon in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Frank Ketterman officiating. Visitation will be from 10 -12 Noon. Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, WV.
