Tammy S. (Wimer) Mathis

  Tammy Sue (Wimer) Mathis, age 59 of Spartanburg, South Carolina and formerly of Maysville, WV passed away on Sunday, March 23, 2025 at Spartanburg Hospice.

  Tammy was born on August 24, 1965 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of Kermit Eugene Wimer of Maysville, WV and the late Thelma (Eckard) Sherman. Tammy was also preceded in death by her step mother, Wanda Wimer and paternal grandparents, Virgil and Louella Wimer and maternal grandparents, Alfred and Anna Mae Eckard; two brothers, James Allen Wimer and John Lee Wimer; one nephew, Corey Lofton.

   Tammy is survived by her father, Kermit E. Wimer and her husband, Kenneth Mathis

    One son, Terry Delawder, Jr. (Tammy) of Dorcas, WV

    Two daughters-  Monica K. Delawder (Bo) of South Carolina

                               Cayce Cooper of South Carolina

     Six grandchildren and one great grandson, Kolson

     Two sisters-  MaryAnn Evans of South Carolina

                          Linda Hedrick (Scott) of Petersburg, WV

     One brother, Gary Wimer, Sr. (Donna) of Petersburg, WV

     Several nieces, nephews and cousins.  

     Tammy’s family will receive friends on Friday, March 28, 2025 from 11:00 AM – 1 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. 

     A Funeral Service will begin at 1 PM with Pastor Gary Crislip officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt Hebron Cemetery in Maysville, WV.
