Obituary
Thomas Michael Rogers, Sr. age 72, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at his residence.
Mike was born on November 15, 1950 in Martinsburg, WV and was the son of the late Thomas Buckey Rogers and Frances Maxine (Shively) Rogers. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon L. (Whitlock) Rogers on September 26, 2022.
Mike was a 1968 graduate of Charles Town High School. He was manager of several H-P Stores and later he and his wife managed Pizza Hut, Hermitage Restaurant and Mountaineer Grill in Petersburg. Mike enjoyed fishing and the West Virginia Mountaineers and Pittsburg Steelers were his favorite football teams. He loved the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Mike is survived by one son, Thomas Michael Rogers, Jr. (Lindsey) of Charleston, SC; five grandchildren; two stepsons, Ralph Lee Borror, Jr. (Gloria) of Middleburg, VA and Michael Allen Borror (Rachel) of Ponca City, Oklahoma; two step grandsons, Jacob Borror and Lex Wymore; one sister, Patricia Varone of Davie, Florida and one nephew.
There will be a private family gathering at a later date.
