Linda “Sue” Weatherholtz, age 74, of Lahmansville, WV, passed away on Friday January 31, 2020 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.
She was born August 13, 1945 in Hardy C ounty, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late Emmett Crites and Ava (High) Crites. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Lou and one son, Jeffrey Allen Weatherholtz.
Sue spent most of her years as a homemaker where she enjoyed cooking, gardening, canning and time spent with loved ones. She loved to feed and watch her birds. Her family was her greatest accomplishment and her most important contribution to the world. She loved fiercely, cared genuinely and will be missed immensely.
Sue is survived by her husband of 57 years, Johnny (John) Weatherholtz, Sr. of Lahmansville, WV; two sons, Johnny Weatherholtz, Jr. of Maysville, WV and Jay Weatherholtz of Lahmansville, WV; one daughter, Judy Weatherholtz Iman and husband Roger of Petersburg, WV; one sister, Jeanette “Kay” Wilkins-Lyter (George) of Fisher, WV; three brothers, Butch Crites (Charlen) of Old Fields, WV, Ronnie Crites (Sandra) of Moorefield, WV and Grant High (Somnia) of Winchester, VA; two granddaughters, Kaitlin Weatherholtz Earle and husband Justin of Morgantown, WV and Shawna Weatherholtz of Lahmansville, WV; one great-granddaughter, McKenna Earle; and multiple nieces and nephews. Fay Barrick whom she thought of as a daughter.
Family and friends are invited to Celebrate the Life of Sue on Sunday, February 9, 2020 at 1:00 P.M. at the Oakdale Christian Church in Rig, WV with Pastor Lynn Rohrbaugh speaking.
