Steve Hott Obituary
Steve Leon Hott, age 71, of 33 Bluegrass Lane, Petersburg, WV passed away on Friday, October 21, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
He was born October 30, 1944 in Cumberland, MD and was a son of the late Clarence Paul Hott and Bama (Hood) Hott. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Ann Hott Cerne.
Steve graduated from Petersburg High School Class of 1965. He worked for Allegheny Mining, Mt. Storm, WV. Later he was a poultry producer for Perdue Farms and retired in 2010. He enjoyed being on the farm and especially making hay. He loved hunting with his family at his hunting camp in Rough Run. He was a member of Maysville United Methodist Church.
Steve is survived by his wife of 48 years, Norma A. (Clark) Hott, one daughter, Amanda Janell (J.W.) Hawk of Maysville, WV; three grandchildren, Jacob Wade Hawk,
Morgan Paige Hawk and Madison Grace Hawk; one brother, John P. (Pam) Hott of Petersburg, WV and one sister, Marlene (Bill) Kline of Washington; several nieces and nephews, including a special nephew, John Paul (Karen) Hott II and several great nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends Monday, October 24, 2016 from 5 - 8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev Joseph Gerstell and Rev. Steve Landis officiating. Burial will be in Maysville Cemetery.
