Ronald A. Benson, Sr.

Ronald Albert Benson Sr., age 72, of Moorefield, WV passed away on Saturday, November 12, 2022 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

Ronald was born on January 7, 1950 in Olney, Maryland and was a son of the late Kenneth Bowie Benson and Helen Louise (Helphenstine) Benson. 

Ronald is survived by his wife, Anna Marie (Ryan) Benson; one son, Ronald A. Benson, Jr (Deborah) of Gaithersburg, MD; three grandchildren, Becca Benson, Kenny Benson and Timmy Benson; one sister, Linda Bryan (Teddy) of Frederick, MD; one twin brother, Robert Benson (Tammy) of Mount Airy, MD; one step son, David Carnahan of Winchester, VA; one step daughter, Cheryl Carnahan of Gore, VA;  four step grandchildren, Chris Carnahan, Skye Hines, Storme Hines and Robbie Hines.

Ronald was a retired electrician. He enjoyed making wooden things for his grandchildren such as a rocking horse, glider, dresser drawers and desk.  Ronald was an avid football fan.

Honoring Ronald’s wishes, his body will be cremated and there will be no services.
