Ricky Allen “Rick” Stonestreet, age 64 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Friday, January 8, 2021 in Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.
Rick was born July 17, 1956 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the Late Mary Ellen (Keplinger) Borror Stonestreet and Charles Edward Stonestreet. In addition to his parents, Rick was preceded in death by two sisters, Juanita Mullenax and Wanda Stump; infant brother, Junior Wayne Borror.
Rick is survived by his wife, Mary Shreve Stonestreet; three sisters, Betty Kesner of Petersburg, WV, Alma (David) Williams of Petersburg, WV and Sandy (Olen) Riggleman of Moorefield, WV; one brother, W. Paul (Freda)Borror of Petersburg, WV; several nieces and nephews.
Rick was a graduate of Petersburg High School Class of 1975. He became an EMT in 1978 and became a CPR instructor in December 1978 and taught in various surrounding counties. He was a member of the EMS Regional Board for many years. He became an MICP and NREMT-P in early 80’s. He was on the county 911 board. Rick was a surgical technician for Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg for 41 years. He was a member of Gordon Chapel United Methodist Church and served as trustee. He was a former member of Petersburg Volunteer Fire Company.
Graveside services will be Monday, January 11, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Maple Hill Cemetery with Pastor David Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Hill Cemetery.
