Rev. Carol V. (Cosner) Krause

 Rev. Carol (Cosner) Yerkey Krause, age 86 of Maysville, WV passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, March 13, 2025. She was born on November 18, 1938 in Luke, Maryland and was a daughter of the late John Harrison Cosner and Vera Virginia Valley Cosner. 

 In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Berma Yerkey in 2005 and her sister, June Elizabeth Waybright. 

 Carol is survived by her husband, Rev David E. Krause, three step- children, brother-in-law, Rev. Stanley M. Waybright of Mt. Storm, WV, one nephew, LaVerne Waybright of Mt. Storm, WV.

 A proud graduate of Romney High School in 1956, she carried the lessons of her youth with her as she embarked on a path of service and ministry. She attended Bible School in Rhode Island and was an ordained minister with the Church of the Brethren. She pastored several churches including White Pine Church of the Brethren, and the Harness Run Church of the Brethren. She worked tirelessly to provide guidance, comfort, and support to those in need. Carol and her husband attended Bethel Pentecostal Church in Petersburg, WV.

A Graveside service will be conducted on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 11 AM in Lahmansville Cemetery with the Rev. James Hawk.  Burial will follow in the Lahmansville Cemetery.
