Randolph M. "Randy" Teter

Randolph Malcolm “Randy” Teter, age 82, of Onego, WV passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Teter was born on March 25, 1939 in Onego, WV and was a son of the late Russell Morral Cooper and Mary Bessie (Teter) Cooper.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Teter was preceded in death by three sisters, Geneva Champ, Othetta Conrad and Virginia Rose Rexroad; one brother, Danny Cooper and his beloved dog, Smokey. 

Mr. Teter is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rebecca (Long) Teter whom he married on September 16, 1961; one son, Jeffrey T. Teter of Riverton, WV;  three daughters, Lisa Teter-Raines and fiancé Jack Judy of Maysville, WV, Melissa M. Adams and husband Kirk of Headwaters, VA and Charlotte Renee Teter and fiancé Randy Henderson of Bowden, WV; and a bonus daughter, Kristina Vance of Berlin, PA; Godson, Joey Conn, Jr. of Darlington, MD;  five grandchildren, Brian Sites and fiancé Courtney, Ryan (Sarah) Raines, Cassie (Laramie) Teter-Botkin, Thomas Sites and Jeffrey (Ashley) Teter; eight great grandchildren, Carson, Case, Cali, Cambree, Carlee, Cannon, Lucas and Haven;  three brothers, Carl (Peggy) Cooper of Cabins, WV, Herbert (Dorothy) Cooper of Edgewood, Maryland;  Freddie (Patricia) Cooper of Seneca Rocks, WV;  four sisters, Ruth Smith of Baltimore, MD, Betty (Donald) Gordon of Circleville, WV and JoAnn Watts of Seneca Rocks, WV and  Catherine (Junior)  George of Joppa, MD; two brothers-in-law, Richard Conrad of Reedsville, WV and Ray Rexroad of Talcott, WV and several nieces and nephews.  

Mr. Teter was an oil and gas driller in Pennsylvania for several years. He retired from General Motors in Baltimore, MD with nearly 29 years of service.  He was an avid hunter and loved the outdoors.

Family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Friday, February 11, 2022 at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.  Funeral service 11 AM Saturday, February 12, 2022 with ministers Joey Conn and Harold Mullenax officiating.  Burial will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.
