Randal L. Stump

Randal Lee Stump, age 60, of Petersburg, WV passed away Friday, January 7, 2022 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. 

 Randy was born on February 9, 1961 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late Raymond Delbert Stump and Velma Elizabeth (Alt) Stump.  In addition to his parents, Randy was preceded in death by one sister, Debra Stump Bennett and one brother, Keith L. Stump. 

Randy is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy (Lambert) Stump; three daughters, April (Eric) Brown of Petersburg, WV, Ashley (Donald) Hall of Petersburg, WV and Angela (Shawn) Harris of Petersburg, WV; 5 grandchildren, Chevy Brown, Anthony Rodgers, Elizabeth Clark, Kenna Hall and Cadence Brown; one sister, Peggy (Dick) Hughes of Petersburg, WV; one brother, Delbert W. Stump of Petersburg, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Randy was a graduate of Petersburg High School class of 1979.  He worked 20 years at Hanover Shoes in Franklin, WV until their closing.  Later he was a mechanic for Terry’s Shop in Petersburg for 20 years.  He enjoyed farming, hunting and fishing with his grandchildren. 

Family will receive friends Monday from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. 

Funeral service will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 11, 2022 in the chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Greg Rotruck officiating. 

Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Franklin, WV.
