Ralph McKinley “Ping” Mallow, Sr., age 82, of Front Royal, Virginia passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 in Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Virginia.
Born March 9, 1937 in Smoke Hole, West Virginia and was a son of the late Delmer Virgil “Lum” Mallow and Laura Rebecca (Reed) Mallow.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Mallow was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Louise (Riley) Mallow in 2017 and one son, Ralph M. Mallow, Jr. in 1985; one brother, Bobby Joe Mallow; two sisters, Ruth Mallow Matthews and Dorothy Mallow Vance.
Mr. Mallow is survived by one son, Joseph P. Mallow of Front Royal, VA; one daughter, Martha Forsythe of Front Royal, VA; two grandchildren, Jason C. Mallow and Rebecca C. (Forsythe) Amaya; three brothers, Virgil Mallow of Cabins, WV, Donald Mallow, Sr. of Woodbridge, VA, and Fred Mallow of Cabins, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Mallow was an active member of Landmark Tabernacle in Front Royal, VA. He was a carpenter and enjoyed fishing and nascar racing.
Mr. Mallow’s family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
Funeral service will beTuesday, February 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Rose officiating.
Interment will be in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV.
