Ralph W. Dolly

Ralph William Dolly, age 82 of Medley, WV passed away on Thursday, November 10, 2022 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

Ralph was born on September 16, 1940 in Burlington, WV and was a son of the late George Washington Dolly and Nida Mae (Dolly) Dolly. 

In addition to his parents, Ralph was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Lene (Champ) Dolly in 2010; one son, Terry William Dolly in 2018; five sisters, Eula McConnell, Mernie Shultz, Joann Rohrbaugh, Mary Ritchie and Ruby McConnell; three brothers, Walter Dolly, Henry Dolly and Carl Dolly. 

Ralph is survived by one daughter, Linda Kesner and husband Louis of Dorcas, WV, one daughter-in-law, Jan Dolly of Medley, WV; two grandchildren, Rodney Kesner (Tonya)  and Karey Lynne Ours (Derek) ; two great grandchildren, Kolbe Ours and Kylie Ours; four sisters, Ruth Funkhouser (Ted) of Baker, WV, Joy Davey of Romney, WV, Katherine Dent of Old Fields, WV and Betty Dove of Louisiana; one brother, George W. Dolly, Jr. (Frances) of New Creek, WV; several nieces and nephews.

 Ralph worked most of his life at Kessel Lumber Company and his last job was at his son’s garage, Terry’s Shop in South Petersburg.  He enjoyed going to yard sales, flea markets and auctions. 

Funeral service will be Saturday, November 12, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Rotruck officiating. 

Family will receive friends one hour prior to service. 

Interment will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.
