Philip Wilson “Bud” Inskeep III, age 81, of Maysville, WV passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.
Philip was born on February 14, 1941 in Moorefield, WV and was a son of the late Philip Wilson Inskeep Jr. and Ruth (Ratliff) Inskeep.
In addition to his parents, Philip was preceded in death by two sisters, Linda Shears and Lea Gregory.
Philip is survived by his wife of 54 years, Elaine (Kessel) Inskeep; one daughter, Stacie Inskeep of Hedgesville, WV; one sister, Phylis Sirk and several nieces and nephews.
Philip was a graduate of Moorefield High School class of 1960. He served in the United States Army with the 101st Airborne Division from 1961-1963. He was employed by Holmes & Arbor for the Atomic Energy Commission at Johnston Island located in South Pacific as Security Guard from 1964-1966.
In 1966 Philip obtained his Private Pilot license in California. Later he obtained Commercial license and instrument control panel rating and multiple Engine rating.
Philip was employed as Farm manager for Snell Farms and Halterman Farms. Philip was a truck driver for Kessel Lumber Company and retired in 2005. He was a member of the Petersburg First Baptist Church.
A Celebration of Life Service will be Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Petersburg First Baptist Church with Pastor Rick Bergdoll.
