Pauline Sherman Obituary

Pauline Virginia (Kimble) Sherman, age 93 of Maysville, WV passed away on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV

Pauline was born on June 3, 1932 in Pendleton County, West Virginia and was a daughter of the late Raymond Isaac Kimble and Minnie Susan (Alt) Kimble. In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Charles B. Sherman in 2006; her son, Gregory C. Sherman in 2014 and three brothers, Dallas Kimble, Carlos “Cod” Kimble and Sterl Kimble. 

 Pauline is survived by her daughter, Judy V. Borror of Petersburg, WV and three grandchildren, Cassie Vetter (Jason), Shawn G. Sherman (Clara) and Charles L. Sherman (Angelica) and one great grandson, Jeremiah P. Vetter; four sisters, Elaine Judy of Arthur, WV, Lilamae Mayle of Petersburg, WV, Lulubelle Vance of Berryville, VA and Carolyn Pratt of Old Fields, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Pauline retired from the Ben Franklin Store in Petersburg, WV in 1997 and was a member of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, Arthur, WV.

Pauline’s family will receive friends on Thursday from 1:00 PM till 2 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. Funeral service will begin at 2 PM with Pastor John Vetter officiating.  Interment will be in Lahmansville Cemetery.

Pauline’s family suggest that memorial donations may be made to Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center, 127 Early Avenue, Petersburg, WV
