Pauline R. (Miller) Phares

Pauline Ruth (Miller) Phares, age 91, of Maysville, WV passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at the home of her son Lannie.

She was born May 8, 1929 in Seneca Rocks, WV and was a daughter of the late Denton Scott Miller and Chloe (Lough) Miller. 

In addition to her parents, Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, George Isaiah Phares in 2005; an infant daughter, Carrie Phares;  two sisters, Joy Rao and infant JoAnn Miller; four brothers, Johnie Miller, Roosevelt Miller, Dewey Miller and Gene Miller.

Pauline was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and baking and spending time with her family.  Her pastime was cracking out walnuts and hickory nuts. She was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church. 

Pauline is survived by one son, Lannie Phares and wife Linda of Maysville, WV; two daughters, Karen Nesslerodt and husband Joe of Ranson, WV and Linda M. Alt and husband Wendell of Maysville, WV;  seven grandchildren, Melanie Chandler, Kevin Alt, Megan Neighly, Jessica Hall, Amanda Carr, Kelli Phares and Lannie Phares II; eleven great grandchildren; Chase and Colton Chandler, Daxton and Kayslin Neighly,  Wendan Carr, Jayden and Jazalyn Hall, Mariah and Brayden Phares, Gracie and Evalyn Phares; four sisters, Mae Sites of Cabins, WV, Sweetie Vance of Seneca Rocks, WV, Velma Bland of Seneca Rocks, WV and Josie Champ of Lahmansville, WV; two brothers, Truman Miller of Seneca Rocks, WV and Worth Miller of Cabins, WV. 

Funeral service will be Saturday, September 26, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Rev. Larry Hakes and Rev. Kenneth Phares officiating.  Family will receive friends from 11 till time of service.  Interment will be in Mt. Hebron Cemetery, Maysville, WV.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, all individuals entering the funeral home will be required to maintain social distancing and wear face covering at all times.
