Paula M. (Whetzel) Swick

Paula Mae (Whetzel) Swick, age 71 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at Grant Memorial Hospital.

Paula was born on August 2, 1949 in Rough Run, WV and was a daughter of the late Enoch Whetzel and Goldie (Nazelrodt) Whetzel.  In addition to her parents, Paula was preceded in death by one sister, Annalee Pennington; sister-in-law, Arlena “Wink” Sites and two brothers-in-law, Don Sites and Curtis Swick.

Paula is survived by her husband of 51 years, Thomas V. Swick

Two sisters, Bonnie Lou Kimble of Elkins, WV, Eva Jean Thorne of Moorefield, WV

Three brothers, Dorman Whetzel of Landes, WV, Donald (Jenny) Whetzel of Augusta, WV and Billy Joe Whetzel of Petersburg, WV

Two Sisters-in-law, Wanda and Bob Toothman of Petersburg, WV and Gloria (Hedrick) Swick of Amarillo, TX

Several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Rev. Lynn Rohrbaugh officiating.  Interment will be in the Whetzel Family Cemetery, Arthur, WV. 

Family will receive friends on Tuesday from 9 AM till time of service at 11 AM.

Please be prepared to adhere to all CDC guidelines including face coverings and social distancing at all times.
