Paul M. Ours

Paul Marshall Ours, age 87, of Cabins, WV went to be with His Jesus on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, VA.

Paul was born on June 4, 1935 in Cabins, WV and was a son of the late Earl Seymour Ours and Mary Frances (Nesselrodt) Ours.  In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by his wife, Mabel E. (Atler) Ours in 2021; two sisters, Arvella VanMeter and Lucy Joy Alt; three brothers, Andrew “Bob” Ours, Ronald Ours and James “Jim” Ours.   Paul was the last surviving member of his immediate family. 

Paul is survived by one sister-in-law, Norma Ours of Cabins, WV and several nieces and nephews. 

Paul was a graduate of Petersburg High School and served in the United States Army.

Paul was a carpenter and loved woodworking and making crafts. His passion was loving his Lord Jesus and listening to Gospel music.  Paul was a member of the Riverside Church.

A Celebration of Life Service for Paul and his wife Mabel Ours will be Saturday, July 23, 2022 at 12 Noon in the chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy George Officiating.  Following the service  Military Honors will be accorded by Grant County Veterans Honor Guard and the West Virginia Army Honor Guard.
