Patsy R. (Borror) Parker

 Patsy Rosetta (Borror) Parker, age 73 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Saturday, January 27, 2024 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV.  Pat was born on July 10, 1950 in Harrisonburg, VA and was a daughter of the late Arthur William “Taft” Borror and Minnie Rosetta (George) Borror.  In addition to her parents, Patsy was preceded in death by four sisters, Hilda Borror Kesner, Phyllis Borror Shook, Ruth Borror Keplinger and Wanda Borror Ellis; six brothers, Roland, Bruce, Dorris “Bunt”, Leo and infants Roger and James Borror.

 Pat was a 1969 graduate of Petersburg High School and a graduate of Shenandoah University School of Nursing, Winchester, VA. She was a Registered Nurse at Winchester Medical Center for 15 years. In 2005 Pat and her husband returned to Petersburg and she worked at Grant County Health Department for 5 years. Pat also worked for the Grant County Commission on Aging and Family Services and volunteered her services after retiring. Pat was a member of Bethel Church in Landes, WV.

 Pat is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, W. R. “Rudy” Parker; one daughter, Patricia “Patti” Dean Wilson and husband, Danny of Woodstock, VA;  one son, Roland Douglas “R.D.” Parker of Stephens City, VA; one granddaughter, Danielle Jewell and husband Jared of Stephens City, VA; one sister, Shirley (Roger) Cook of Maysville, WV; one brother, Doug (Linda) Borror of Petersburg, WV  and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Pat’s family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 31, 2024 from 6 -8 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. 

 Funeral services will be Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 11 AM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Brian Henson officiating.  

 Per Pat’s wishes, her body will be cremated. 

  In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Grant County Commission on Aging, 111 Virginia Avenue, Petersburg, WV 26847.
