Patricia R. Tennyson

Patricia Ruth Tennyson, age 66 of Lee Street Apartments, Moorefield, WV passed from this life on April 25, 2024 at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

She was the daughter of the late Roland Thomas Tennyson and Ruth (Scott) Tennyson. Also preceding her in death was her beloved brother Thomas Wayne Tennyson.

Pat is survived by her cat, Pretty Girl, a special friend, Trish Greene of Henderson, Nevada; Caregiver-friends Julie Cleaver & family and Kathy Whetzel along with a host of friends.

Patricia graduated from James Wood High School in Winchester, VA.

She retired from Hawse Moorefield Shop N Save as a Deli worker. While there, Pat was loved by her co-workers and her customers. Her customers looked forward to Pat taking their orders and many of them would give her rides to work.  She loved Elvis, as is evident in all the pictures on her walls.

She loved traveling and was blessed to have spent time in Nevada with her childhood friend, Trish Greene. She also traveled to Disney World and Hershey Park, PA. Another thing she loved was riding around at Christmas time to see all the Christmas lights.  Pat will be deeply missed by those close to her. We were all blessed to have been a part of Pat’s “Village”.

In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt: “Many people will walk in and out of your life, but only true friends will leave footprints in your heart.”

In honoring Pat’s wishes her final resting place was in the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield, WV.

A Celebration of Pat’s life will be Sunday, May 19, 2024 at 2 PM at the Moorefield Church of God on Elm Street with Pastor Chris Whetzel officiating.  Friends will be received from 1:00 P.M. till time of service at 2;00 P.M.
