Orville P. Judy

    Orville Preston Judy, age 82, formerly of Smoke Hole, WV passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

    He was born February 2, 1938 in Smoke Hole, WV and was a son of the late Jesse Lee Judy and Amanda Florence (Conrad) Judy. 

    In addition to his parents, Orville was preceded in death by step mother, Dorothy Alt Judy; one brother, Delmer Lee Judy; two sisters, Freda Viola Judy Alt and Elaine Frances Judy Shreve and an infant step sister.

   Orville is survived by one brother, Harlan (Patricia Ann) Judy of Lahmansville, WV; two brothers in law, Charles Alt of Baltimore, MD and Cletus Shreve of Smoke Hole, WV;  three half brothers, Berlin (Beverly) Judy of Moorefield, WV, Eldon (Mary) Judy of Petersburg, WV and Paul (Hilda) Judy of Upper Tract, WV; two half sisters, Norma (William) Brown of Sandston, VA and Brenda (Charles “Sonny”) Cook of Upper Tract, WV;  one step sister, Neva Lee Myers of Elkwood, VA and several nieces and nephews.

    Family will receive friends on Sunday, July 19, 2020 from 11 AM till time of service at 2:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.  Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, all individuals entering the funeral home will be required to maintain social distancing and wear a face covering at all times.

    A funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Stanley Kile officiating.  Interment will be in Cherry Hill Cemetery, Upper Tract, WV.
