Ora Kimble Obituary
Ora Quinton "Bill" Kimble, age 83 of Petersburg, WV passed away Thursday, November 20, 2014 at the Grant County Nursing Home.
He was born May 19, 1931 in Smoke Hole, WV and was a son of the late Leslie Brison "Dutch" Kimble and Edna Jane (Landes) Kimble.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Curtis A. Kimble Evers C. Kimble and Paul E. Kimble.
Mr. Kimble retired from Alt's Furniture in Petersburg. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Petersburg.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Wilda (Barr) Kimble, one son, Leslie E. Kimble of Maysville, WV; five grandchildren, Niki Phares, Chanda Rohrbaugh, Mindy Evans, Lindsey Kimble and Matthew Kimble; eleven great grandchildren; three sisters, Lois VanMeter of Cabins, WV, Juanita Evans of Maysville, WV and Jane Sites of Petersburg, WV; three brothers, Dewey Kimble of Moorefield, WV, Wayne Kimble of Lahmansville, WV and James Kimble of Maysville, WV. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Family will receive friends Saturday 2-4 and 6 -8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home.
Funeral service will be Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. James A. Ash officiating. Burial will be in the South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens, Petersburg, WV.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grant County Nursing Home, Safe Harbor Program, 127 Early Avenue, Petersburg, WV 26847 or Charity of Choice.
