Norwood Clyde “Woody” Baker, age 92, of Petersburg, WV passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at his residence.

“Woody” was born June 4, 1929 in Brooklyn Heights, MD and was a son of the late Norwood Spencer Baker and Evelyn (Burdette) Baker. In addition to his parents, Mr. Baker was preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie (Richman) Estell Baker and one brother, Earl Baker.

“Woody” is survived by one son, Scott S. Baker and fiancé, Donna Simmons of Petersburg, WV and one daughter, Lyndie Scott of Gerrardstown, WV; six grandchildren, Scott Baker II, Christopher Baker and wife Andria, Kimberly Halterman and husband Anthony, Tiffany L. Connell and husband David Brown, Robert M. Connell and wife, Carle and Tristan Simmons; thirteen great -grandchildren.

“Woody” was a lifelong truck driver and was a bus driver for Mueller Bus Company in Pasadena, MD for several years. “Woody” loved his cats, camping and sitting on the porch waving at people. He also volunteered at Living Waters Food Pantry. He never met a stranger; people loved his sense of humor.

According to his wishes, Mr. Baker will be cremated. All services will be private.
