Norma Katherine (Riggleman) Ours

         Norma Katherine Riggleman Ours, age 95 of Rough Run, WV entered into eternal life on Monday, November 5, 2018 at Grant Memorial Hospital.  She was born May 18, 1923 in Mozer, WV and was the daughter of the late Jasper Dayton Riggleman and Janie Elizabeth (Dahmer) Riggleman.

          In May 9, 1942 she married Conway C. Ours, Sr. at Calvary United Methodist Church in Keyser, West Virginia.  He preceded her in death on February 28, 2012; also two sisters, Neva Harman and Ilene Norris; son-in-law, Oliver C. Ketterman preceded her in death.

         Mrs. Ours assisted her husband on the farm with all the chores.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and was known for her delicious baking, cooking and canning. She enjoyed watching and feeding humming birds and cardinals and enjoyed embroidering.  She was a faithful member of Hedrick Chapel United Methodist where she was Assistant Junior Sunday school teacher.  She also served on the Southern States Home Advisory Board. 

       Mrs. Ours is survived by one daughter, Becky Ketterman of Rough Run, WV; two sons, Conway C. Ours, Jr. of Petersburg, WV and Hugh D. Ours of Rough Run, WV; two grandchildren, Suenette and husband Kenny Pomeroy of Eglon, WV and Teddy C. Ketterman of Rough Run, WV and two great grandchildren, Tyler and Whitney Pomeroy. 

      Friends will be received from 5:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM Thursday, November 8, 2018 at the Schaeffer Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Larry Hakes officiating and The Rev. Stanley Kile officiating.  Burial will be in the Lahmansville Cemetery, Lahmansville, WV.
