Norma Jean “Jeanie” Lough, age 87, of Petersburg, WV passed away Saturday, January 26, 2019 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg.
She was born December 28, 1931 in Maysville, WV and was a daughter of the late Otto Emeranthus Hesse and Delia Mae (Getz) Hesse. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lough was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Bruce G. Lough on April 5, 2004 and step son, Barry Kenneth Lough.
Mrs. Lough was a graduate of Petersburg High School Class of 1949. She worked for Potomac Feed and Supply Company as a bookkeeper for several years. She and her husband moved to Norfolk, VA in 1961 and worked as a billing clerk at Naval Supply Center on the Naval Base until retirement. She was a life member of Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 6454. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Petersburg and attended Brick Church of the Brethren in Maysville, WV.
She is survived by two sisters, Ruth Hesse and Twila Hesse both of Maysville, WV.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2019 at 1:00 PM at the Brick Church of the Brethren with the Rev. Carroll G. Junkins officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery.
