Nadine L. (Getz) Idleman

 Nadine Leona Idleman, age 82 of Mt. Storm, WV was promoted to Heaven on Saturday, February 17, 2024 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

 Nadine was born on May 29, 1941 in Gorman, MD and was a daughter of the late Floyd Leon Getz and Irene Marie (White) Getz.

 In addition to her parents, Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, William C. Idleman in 2020; one daughter, Anna Marie Idleman and two brothers, Robert Steven Getz and Harold Leon Getz; sister-in-law, Helen Elizabeth Berard; great nephew, Cody Michael Getz.

  Nadine is survived by two daughters, Judy (Kevin) Shreve of Keyser, WVand Helen (Manoj) Mathew of Ellicott City, MD; four grandchildren, Jacob Mathew, Caleb (MaKayla) Shreve, Zach Shreve and Alyssa Mathew; two brothers, Peter Getz of Gormania, WV and Russell Getz of Mt. Storm, WV and several nieces and nephews including Rusty Getz and Penny Getz of Mt. Storm, WV.

  Nadine was employed at the Grant County Board of Education for thirty-one years. She was instrumental in starting the Toys for Tots and the Food pantry in Mt. Storm. She was co-director of the Little League Basketball Program at Union Elementary School. She was among the first EMT at the Mt Storm Rescue Squad. She was a former member of the Mt Storm Fire Company Auxiliary. Nadine served on the Board at the Grant County Commission on Aging. Nadine also was a sponsor for the Boy Scouts. She was a member of the Mt Storm United Methodist Church and held various positions within the church. 

  Funeral service will be 2 PM Saturday, February 24, 2024 at Mt Storm United Methodist Church with Pastor Christine Kuhn officiating.

  Nadine’s family will receive friends from 11 AM till time of service. 

  Interment will be in Mt Storm Cemetery.

 The family suggests memorial donations be made to Toys for Tots, c/o Diane Junkins, P.O. Box 206, Mt. Storm, WV 26739 or the Mt. Top Food Pantry, 181 Kuhn Mine Road, Mt. Storm, WV.
