Michael Carl Mullenax, known as “Longarm” (in the trucking business), age 69 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at his home.
Mike was born on October 13, 1955 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of Carl Mullenax and Thelma (Kimble) Mullenax of Petersburg, WV.
Mike was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Roland C. Mullenax and Bessie (Harman) Mullenax and maternal grandparents, John E. Kimble and Zadie (Kisamore) Kimble.
Mike is survived by his parents, Carl & Thelma Mullenax and his wife Sue (Hinkle) Mullenax.

Kenneth Mullenax of Petersburg, WV
Mark Mullenax and wife Rhonda of Petersburg, WV
Aunt Jean Judy of Franklin, WV and uncle Roy Mullenax of Petersburg, WV
Six nieces and several great nieces and nephews and one great- great niece.
Mike attended Petersburg High School and served in the United States Army. He was a lifelong resident of the community he loved. He was a truck driver for Mullenax Refrigerated Transport and various other companies. To those who had the pleasure of knowing him, Mike was the epitome of a good neighbor and true friend.
Mike’s family will receive friends on Monday, March 31, 2025 from 6 – 8 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
A Funeral Service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at 1 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Edward Mullenax.
Burial will be in the Cherry Hill Cemetery, Upper Tract, WV.
