Michael S. Lockie

Michael Shawn “Mick” Lockie, age 63, of Oakland, MD and formerly of Mt. Storm, WV  passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at his home.  Michael was born on February 16, 1959 in Washington, D.C. and was a son of the late Lewis Albert Lockie and Beryle Lucille (Foley) Lockie Hanlin.

Mick is survived by his wife of 31 years, Wanda Jayne (Roy) Lockie; two sons, Storm Cline (Sarah) of Oakland, MD and Brian Cline (Becky) of Swanton, MD; one daughter, Danielle Adams (Johnny) of Nanjemoy, Maryland; eleven grandchildren; three great - grandchildren and one great grandson expected February, 2023 and granddaughter expected June, 2023; two brothers, Teddy Lockie (Judy) of Mt. Storm, WV and James Lloyd Lockie of Philadelphia, PA; three sisters, Dawn Knight (Doug) of Oakland, MD, Barbara House of Philadelphia, PA and Tanya James (Jesse) of Elk Garden, WV and numerous nieces and nephews.

Mick was a graduate of Union High School class of 1977.  He was employed by Bausch & Lomb in Oakland, MD for 14 years.  Later he was employed by Pilgrim’s Pride in Moorefield for 20 plus years.  He was a avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed gardening. His passion was spending time with his family and friends.   

Mick family will receive friends Saturday, December 10, 2022 from 5:00 – 7:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. A funeral service will follow at 7 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Nathan Rhodes and Pastor Kenny Fike officiating. 

Graveside service will be Sunday, December 11, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Foley Endler Family Cemetery on Lambka Road, Mt. Storm, WV.
