Michael J. Hornyak

 Michael Joseph Hornyak, age 87 of Moorefield, WV passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

 Michael was born on July 27, 1937 in Kingston, Pennsylvania  and was a son of the late Michael Hornyak and Susan (Bair) Hornyak. 

  In addition to his parents, Michael was preceded in death by his wife Dottie Lou (Smith) Hornyak in 2022, one daughter, Robin Jenkins and one sister, Barbara Joyce. 

  Michaelis survived by one daughter, Kerry D. Ketterman of Moorefield, WV and one son, Jesse Hornyak of Moorefield, WV; five grandchildren, Gregory Letzkus, Joshua Lofton, Jay Lofton, Ryan Jenkins, Becka Jenkins; five great grandchildren, Bethany and Josh Lofton, Aubree Lofton, Camden Letzkus and Annie Letzkus.

 Michael served in the United States Navy for several years and later retired from General Motors in Baltimore, Maryland. He was a member of the Moorefield Church of God. 

 Honoring Michael's wishes, his body will be cremated and all services will be private.
