Maxine H. (Arbogast) Reed

Maxine (Arbogast) Heavener Reed, age78, formerly of Maysville, WV passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

She was born January 21, 1942 in Cabins, WV and was a daughter of the late Ethel (Arbogast) Mowery.  In addition to her mother, Maxine was preceded in death by her husbands, Arthur Heavener in 2003 and Otha Reed in 2007; an infant son, Ronnie Lee Heavener; infant great grandson, Elijah Noah Cooper.

Maxine is survived by two sons, Wayne (Debbie)  Heavener of Maurertown, VA and Rennie (Caroline) Heavener of Uniontown, PA,  three daughters, Bonnie (Brian) Cooper of Castalia, Ohio,  Norma (Raphael) Martinez of Annville,  PA and Nancy (Wilson) Miller of Upper Tract, WV;  five grandchildren and several step grandchildren and  three great grandchildren and several step great grandchildren; several half brothers and sisters.   

Maxine worked in the housekeeping department at Grant Memorial Hospital and retired after 18 years.  She was a member of Falls Assembly of God Church. 

Graveside services will be Thursday 11 AM, July 30, 2020 at the Riggleman Cemetery at Cabins, WV with Rev. Vivan Watts.  Interment will follow in the Riggleman Cemetery. 

The family would like to extend their appreciation to the staff and employees of Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center for the excellent care that was given to their Mother.
