Mary Ann (Mongold) Black

Mary Ann (Mongold) Black, age 79, of Seneca Rocks, WV passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

Mary Ann was born on June 24, 1942 in Petersburg, WV and was a daughter of the late Dyer Lough Mongold and Myrtle Mary (Hall) Mongold. In addition to her parents, Mary Ann was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Dyer Mongold and her twin brother, James Edward Mongold.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Norman Wade Black, two sons, Kevin P. Black and wife Jackie of Seneca Rocks, WV and Michael K. Black and wife Davanna of Leesburg,  VA; one daughter, Sheila A. Kisamore and husband Daniel of Petersburg, WV;  seven  grandchildren, Megan and husband Christian, Courtney, Ryne, Clay, Durham, Chelsea and Jordan; one brother, Roger W. Mongold of Petersburg,  WV and one sister, Edna C. Alt of Petersburg and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was formerly employed by Joan Curtis Sewing Factory and most recently at Judy’s Drug Store for several years. She was a member of Pleasant View United Methodist Church, Seneca Rocks, WV.

Family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 – 8 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. 

Funeral service will be Thursday, November 18, 2021 at 11 AM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Cindy Skinner officiating.   Interment will be in Lahmansville Cemetery.
