Martha M. (Arbaugh) Keplinger

Martha Marie (Arbaugh) Keplinger, age 81, formerly of Petersburg, WV passed away Thursday, September 26, 2019 in Appalachian Regional Hospital in Beckley, West Virginia. 

Mrs. Keplinger was born October 1, 1937 in Pendleton County, WV and was a daughter of the late Gordon George Arbaugh and Annie Zernie (Wimer) Arbaugh.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Keplinger was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Junior Keplinger in 1978; four brothers, Guy Adam Keplinger, Robert Stanley “Bob” Arbaugh, Calvin Coolidge Arbaugh and Floyd Arbaugh; three sisters, Mary Catherine Wimer, Maxine Arbaugh and Betty Lou Whetzel.  

Martha is survived by five daughters –

Debra Ann Arbaugh of  Springfield, WV

Linda Lou Whetzel  of Petersburg, WV

Patricia Marie Borror of Upper Tract, WV

Pammy Lynn Wright of Springfield, WV

Tammy Lynn Keplinger of Parkersburg, WV 

Several Grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

One sister, Dorothy Bell Whetzel of Petersburg, WV

Special Friend, Ervin Whetzel. 

Martha had worked at the former Valerie’s Restaurant and Sites Restaurant in Petersburg.  She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Petersburg. 

Family will receive friends Monday, September 30, 2019,  from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.  Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM with Elder Stephen Kimble and Bishop Richard Whetzel officiating.  Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Petersburg, WV.
