Marlene F. (Turner) Ours

Marlene Frances (Turner) Ours, age 66, of Cabins, WV passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV.

Marlene was born on October 21, 1954 in Harrisonburg, VA and was a daughter of the late Marvin Eston Turner and Edna Annie (Nelson)Turner.  In addition to her parents, Marlene was preceded in death by her husband Andy Amos Ours on October 16, 2008; one  brother, Roland  Lee Turner;  one sister, Maxine  Ours; one niece, Dorcas Keplinger; sister-in-law, Carol (Mallow) Turner and father-in-law, Justin Ike Ours.

Marlene is survived by two sons, Andrew P.  Ours of Cabins, WV and Joseph A. (Nichole) Ours of Cabins, WV; one grandson, Liam Ours; one sister, Delores (Sonny) Keplinger of Maysville, WV; brother-in-law, John Ours of Cabins, WV; mother-in-law, Clara Nell Ours of Cabins, WV;  several nieces and nephews; caregiver, Shirley Ruddle of Onego, WV and several special friends. 

Marlene was a graduate of Circleville High School class of 1972. She was a lifelong farmer and loved canning.   She was a caregiver for many families until she became disabled in 2002.  She was a member of Cabins Assembly of God Church.   

Family will receive friends from 5 – 8 PM on Friday, October 22, 2021 at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.

Funeral service will be 11 AM on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in the Chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Coleman and Colleen Clark officiating.  Burial will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.
