Marilyn "Jeanie" (Kimel) Lampin

Marilyn Jean (Kimel) Lampin, age 83 of Fredericksburg, VA went to her Heavenly Home on Sunday, January 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family.  Jeanie was born on March 8, 1941 in Washington, DC and was the daughter of the late Alvin Frank Kimel and Mildred Virginia (Schaeffer) Kimel. 

 In addition to her parents, Jeanie was preceded in death by her husband George Lampin and her uncle James H. Schaeffer; special cousins, J. Blaine Schaeffer and Mary Elizabeth Schaeffer Shobe.

 Jeanie is survived by her daughters, Carmella J. Tritt and husband Euel Tritt of  Fredericksburg, VA and Christina A. Lopez and husband Gregory Lopez of  Springfield, VA; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren; one brother, Alvin Kimel II of Roanoke, VA and one sister, Ninon Seymore of Virginia Beach, VA.   

 Jeanie was born in Washington, DC and grew up in Alexandria, VA. She resided in Northern Virginia the majority of her life. In later years, Jeanie married George Lampin. She enjoyed federal government employment from which she retired. Loving Jesus and her family were Jeanie's first priorities. 

 Jeanie’s family will receive family and friends on Monday, January 13, 2025 from 11 AM – 1:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.

A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. D. J. Corkey officiating. 

Interment will be in the Mount Storm Cemetery, Mount Storm, WV.
