Margaret Weaver Obituary

 Margaret Irene (Gabbard) Weaver, age 91 of Maysville, WV passed away on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

Margaret was born on August 23, 1934 in Scaffold Cane, KY and was a daughter of the late Noah Bradley Gabbard and Nannie Jane (Swinford) Gabbard.

In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by six sisters, Mildred Cotton, Evelyn Rhodus, Norma Lower, Juanita Bailey, Lyda Hannah and Manie Evans and one brother, Clifford Gabbard.

Margaret is survived by her husband, Harry B. Weaver III

Two sons: Kent E. Ross and fiancée Shalleigh of Scottsdale, Arizona and Kirk D. Ross of St Louis, MO

Five Grandchildren: Kimberly Ross, Kirsten Ross and husband Saad, Tiffanie Tsikouris and husband Alex, Kody Ross and Kyle Ross. 

Two step daughters: Diana Bouchelle of Northeast, MD and Linda Morrehead of Collegeville, PA

 Four step Grandchildren and Four step Great Grandchildren

Two sisters: Betty Riffle and husband Craig of Goshen, IN and Etta Faye Hacker of Park Hills, KY             

Margaret is survived by numerous nieces and nephews including Bernita Berg of Maysville, WV.

Margaret married Ray Ross in 1952 and they had two sons, Kent and Kirk. In 1985 she married Harry Weaver and they spent their retirement years traveling. They loved visiting family in their travels. In 2019 they moved to West Virginia and loved living on their farm on Jordan Run Road, Maysville, WV.

 Honoring Margaret’s wishes, there will be a Celebration of Life Service in Goshen, Indiana in the spring.
