Margaret M. Vincell, age 92 of Petersburg, WV went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2020 at Grant County Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.
She was born May 10, 1927 in South Charleston, West Virginia and was the daughter of the late William Anderson Dent and Pribble Mallory Dent.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Vincell was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Shelba D. Vincell II and three brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two children: daughter Yvonne Williams (Elwood) of Moorefield, WV and son Shelba D. Vincell III (Rene’) of Franklin, WV; three grandchildren Mark Rowland, S. Joseph Vincell (Allison) and Shelley Vandiford (Chris); nine great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
Margaret was a woman of great faith. She always said that her greatest desire was to instill the “love of Jesus” in her family. She was a member of Highlawn Baptist Church in St. Albans, WV and faithfully attended Ox Hill Baptist Church, Chantilly, VA and Main Street United Methodist Church in Petersburg, WV for many years. Faith and family were most important to her.
She retired from Columbia Gas as a payroll processor, worked for Kanawha Valley Bank in Charleston, WV and George Mason Bank, and the Virginia Department of Transportation in Fairfax, VA before retiring to Petersburg, WV in 1992.
She graduated from the Charleston School of Commerce and attended Morris Harvey College.
Due to the present health concerns, all services and interment will be private in South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV with Pastor Brad Mitchell officiating.
