M. Frederick Kimble

 Mervin Frederick Kimble, age 74, of Maysville, WV passed away on Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center in Petersburg, WV.

 Fred was born on December 11, 1948 in Petersburg, WV and was a son of the late Mervin Glenn Kimble and Bessie Viola (Rexrode) Kimble.  In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by one sister, Glendora Souder; an infant brother, Glenn Kimble and an infant grandson, Austin Neil Goldizen.

Fred is survived by his wife of 56 years, Darlene M. (Keplinger) Kimble

 Three daughters: Sherry Michael (Steven) of Scherr, WV

                              Debra Reel (Steven) of Maysville, WV

                               Teresa Kimble of Maysville, WV

  Six Grandchildren and Seven Great Grandchildren. 

  One brother - Tony Kimble (Karen) of Maysville, WV

  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

   Fred was a 1966 graduate of Petersburg High School. He was a poultry and dairy farmer. In fact, Fred was the last dairy farmer in Grant County. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting. He was a recipient of American Farmer Degree and a member of North American Hunting Club.  Fred was president of the Tri-County Fair Association for 10 plus years. 

  There will be a private graveside service Saturday, August 26, 2023 at Lahmansville Cemetery. Following the graveside service, family and friends may gather from 1 – 5 PM at Sherry and Steve Michael’s home, (14524 Lunice Creek Highway, Scherr, WV 26726).
