Mr. Lynn Dempsey Harman, age 88, of Maysville, WV passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV surrounded by his loving family.
He was born on July 20, 1932 in Petersburg, WV and was the son of Claude Harman and Bettie (Bland) Harman.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Harman was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy L. (Smith) Harman on January 8, 2020; one daughter, Joyce Harman; five brothers, Charles Harman, Theodore “Budge” Harman, Tom Harman, Garland Harman and Isaac Newton Harman; seven sisters, Ruth Thomas, Chloe Smith, Edith Killen, Pauline Hall, Mayselle Zopfi, Nell Thorn and infant Tressie Harman.
He is survived by Four Children and special great granddaughter, Journey Mongold

Twelve Grandchildren, Kevin Mongold, Laramie Harman, Jonathan Mongold, Jenny Harman, Lindsey (Western) Porter, Bethany (Mongold) Stump, Casey Western, Miranda Mongold, Danielle (Ketterman) Mayle, Micah Western, Jalyn Western and Ian Harman.
Fourteen Great Grandchildren and two sisters, Clemmie Courtney of Pawtucket, RI and Claudia Hope George of Maysville, WV.
Mr. Harman served in the United States Army. He was a loyal member of Boilermakers Local 667, Charleston, WV and served as general foreman. He was highly respected by his co-workers. He loved working with his crew and was a mentor to them.
Funeral service will be Sunday, April 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Michael and Lindsey Porter, Worship and Fine Arts Directors with Trinity Assembly of God in Fairmont, WV.
Family will receive friends from 10 AM till time of service at 11 AM.
Military Graveside Service will be in the South Branch Valley Memorial Gardens in Petersburg, WV by Potomac Highlands VFW Post 6454 and West Virginia Army Honor Guard.
