Lorain "Pete" Patch

 Lorain “Pete” Patch, age 75 of Petersburg, WV passed away on Monday, April 6, 2026 at his residence. Born on February 27, 1951 in Petersburg, WV, he was a son of the late Geraldine Keplinger. 

In addition to his mother, Pete was preceded in death by four sisters, Maxine Cordell, Betty Kottmyer, Sally Davis and Vista Fleming; five brothers, Richard Keplinger, William Keplinger, Charles Keplinger, James Patch and Delmas Patch.

Pete is survived by one brother, Pastor Doyle Patch and wife, Faye of Petersburg, WV, one sister, Norma Maupin of Stuarts Draft, VA, sister-in-law, Elsie Keplinger of Petersburg, WV and several nieces and nephews, including Venice Fint (Bob) of Old Fields, WV.

Pete worked for Kessel Lumber Company and was a carpenter and later worked at the Dog Kennel in Petersburg for several years. He was an avid rabbit hunter.

 In honoring Pete’s wishes, his body will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be scheduled later.
