Linda L. (Evans) Jackson

Linda Lee (Evans) Jackson, age 77 of Maysville, WV passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025 at her residence.

Linda was born on April 15, 1948 in Jordan Run, WV and was a daughter of the late

Ora Julian Evans and Arbutus Mae (Moyers) Evans.  In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. “Bob” Moore in 2005, and one son, Leonard Scott Martin; and one sister, Joan Heavener and two brothers, Frederick Evans and Ronald Evans and brother-in-law, John Barger.

Linda is survived by her husband Bruce Wayne Jackson; five daughters, Sandy Ratcliff (Mark) of Moorefield, WV, Tina Sites ( Keith Ketterman) of Maysville, WV and Denise Kesner (Joe) of Maysville, WV and Twanda Gould of Hagerstown, MD and Denise “Dee Dee” Taylor (Sam) of Martinsburg, WV; twenty-one grandchildren, several great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; three sisters, Kathy (Hallen) Kerns of Cabins, WV, Marsha Barger of Maysville, WV and Dreama Kelly (John) of Arthur, WV and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.  

Linda attended Petersburg High School. Linda was a Care-Giver and Daycare Provider for years. She loved to sew and crochet and enjoyed spending time with her family.  Linda was a member of God's House Church in Baker, WV.

Linda’s family will receive friends on Thursday, October 2, 2025 from 5 -7:30 PM at Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg. Funeral service will begin at 7:30 PM with Dreama Kelly.

In honoring Linda’s wishes, her body will be cremated. 

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center, 127 Early Avenue, Petersburg, WV 26847.
