Leslie B. Keplinger

Leslie Bryon Keplinger, age 65 of Strasburg, VA gained his wings and entered Gods kingdom on September 12th 2025 at Inova Fairfax hospital. Les was born on February 26, 1960 in Petersburg West Virginia  and was the son of  Jeanette (Crites) Keplinger of Moorefield, WV and the late Joseph Keplinger. He retired from MWAA where he served as a mobile lounge operator from August 1st 1994 - May 24th 2019. Les was a family man and man of God. There was nothing like his family and Buckton church family and friends. But there was truly nothing to Les like his Grandbabies, they were his pride and joy.Les always said if he knew this is what it was like having grandkids he would have had them first. Les loved and loved hard. He never knew a stranger. Les was an avid outdoorsman that loved hunting, fishing, riding his Harley, nights at the fire pit surrounded by loved ones and no one could ever roast/grill a hot dog the way he could. He loved a good get together with all those he loved and cared about, he loved to have a good time filled with laughter and fun. Les was Preceded in death by his dad Joseph Keplinger, and brothers Joe and Dennis Keplinger.

 Survived by wife Donna Kay (Benson) Keplinger, daughter Deanna Nicole Keplinger (Bill Settle aka Billy Bob) Grandbabies JoDen Bryon Keplinger and KayLeOnna Nicole Keplinger, Mother, Jeanette (Crites) Keplinger, sister Donna Donohue, sister -in -law Arlene Keplinger, sister- in -law Pam Farmer (Bruce), brother- in- law John Benson Jr. numerous nephews and niece, James “Bucky” Keplinger (Sarah), Gary Keplinger, Emily Heddings (Jay), Scott Lee Farmer Jr, Andrew Farmer (Teresa).  TF Harmon (Tina), DJ Brady, Dylan Brady. Extended family Brian Earhart, Tylee Simmons, David Meade, Tim Meade, Scott Farmer, Glen Dovel and Jerry Haynes. Along with many cousins, great nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be JoDen Keplinger, Bill Settle, T F Harmon, Bucky Keplinger, Gary Keplinger and David Meade. Honorary Pallbearers will be Cody Keplinger, Colton Keplinger, Trenton Schaefer and William Morris.

Les’s family will receive friends on Thursday, September 18, 2025 from 12 Noon – 1:00 PM at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV. 

Funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM in the chapel with Pastor Mark Johnson officiating. 

Interment will be in Baldwin Cemetery, Moorefield, WV.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Buckton Presbyterian Church, 2315 Strasburg Road, Front Royal, Virginia 22630.
