Leslie A. Crites

Leslie Alan “Pops ”Crites, age 65 of Lahmansville, WV passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024 at his home while under the care of hospice. 

Leslie was born on December 30, 1958 in Petersburg, WV, the son of Anna Lee (Willis) Crites of Petersburg, WV and the late Vernon Lee Crites, Sr. 

Leslie is survived by his mother, Anna Lee Crites of Petersburg and wife of 42 years, Lori (Heavener) Crites; one son, Jeremy Crites and wife Mary of Lahmansville, WV; three grandchildren, Timothy Bogan, Kelsey Bogan and Karter Vance; two sisters, Pam Keplinger and husband Randy of Petersburg, WV and Sheila Ketterman and husband Don of Petersburg, WV and one brother, Vernon L. Crites Jr. and wife Terrie of Ranson, WV;  several nieces and nephews and his dog Tennessee. 

Leslie was a 1977 graduate of Moorefield High School and was a construction worker in Virginia for several years. He was a lifelong breeder grower for Pilgrim’s Pride in Moorefield for nearly 30 years. Leslie enjoyed hunting and fishing with his grandchildren.

Graveside service will be conducted on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 1:00 PM in the Lahmansville Cemetery in Lahmansville, WV with Allen and Barbara Sisson.
