Leonard Hedrick Obituary
Leonard Kenny Hedrick, age 83, of 362 Royal Glen Road, Petersburg, WV went to be with his Lord on Friday, April 29, 2016 at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center.
He was born December 3, 1932 in Onego, WV and was the son of the late Wilbur K. Hedrick and Verdie Mae (Champ) Hedrick.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Neil G. Hedrick.
Leonard graduated from Circleville High School class of 1951 and attended Davis and Elkins College before serving in the United States Army. He was employed by General Motors in Baltimore, MD and retired from the United States Postal Service after 20 years. He was a member of Christ Central Church, Upper Tract,WV.
Leonard is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lorena Hedrick; one son, Mark E. Hedrick and wife Delta of Petersburg, WV and one daughter, Nancy A. Taylor and husband Michael of Petersburg, WV; one sister, Carrie Lee Wolford of Harman, WV; two brothers, Dallas A. Hedrick of Forest Hill, MD and Lowell W. Hedrick of Seneca Rocks, WV.
Family will receive friends Monday, May 2, 2016 from 6 - 8 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg, WV.
Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Harper officiating. Interment will be in North Fork Memorial Cemetery, Riverton, WV.
The family suggests that memorials be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
