Leon Mongold Obituary
Leon William Mongold, age 67, of Petersburg, WV died Saturday, April 9, 2016 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, WV.
He was born February 4, 1949 in Petersburg, WV and was the son of Nola Mongold of Petersburg, WV and the late Richard L. Mongold, who preceded him in death on April 26, 1991.
Leon was employed by Allied Egry in Petersburg for several years and retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways District Five after 33 years as a bridge inspector.
Leon is survived by his mother, Nola Mongold of Petersburg, brother, Dean R. Mongold of Windermere, FL., aunts, Ina Jane Alt, Norma Sites and Velma Kesner of Petersburg, WV and Ruth Kimble and husband Kenneth of Maugansville, MD; uncle, Donald Mongold of Petersburg, W and several cousins.
Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 12, 2016 from 2 - 4 p.m. and 7 - 9 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 13, 2016 at 1 p.m. at the Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Hill Cemetery in Petersburg.
