Leda L. (Ours) Kite

 Leda Lee (Ours) Judy Kite, age 88 of Moorefield, WV passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2025 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.

Leda was born on November 13, 1937 in Dorcas, WV and was a daughter of the late Evers Theodore Ours Sr. and Janie Elizabeth (Nelson) Ours.

Leda attended Petersburg High School and was employed as a supervisor at the Windsor Knit Sewing Factory in Petersburg for 16 years, where she was known for her strong work ethic and dedication.

In addition to her parents, Leda was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry E. Judy in 2002; one son, Edward Lee Judy, one sister, Bonnie Moyers and two brothers, Evers T. Ours, Jr. and C. Wayne Ours.

Leda is survived by her loving husband, Jack R. Kite of Moorefield, WV, one son, Kenneth H. Judy and wife Lynn of Dorcas, WV; two grandsons, Adam Judy and wife Morgan and Ryan Judy and wife Lacee; two granddaughters, Jennifer Judy and Chloe Judy and eight great-grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, J. Darlene Berg of Maysville, WV; two sisters-in-law, Bonnie A. Ours and Shirley J. Ours; one brother-in-law, Alfred Moyers; and several nieces and nephews.

Leda was a loving and caring soul who cherished her family deeply and will be remembered for her kindness and devotion.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Schaeffer Funeral Home with Pastor John Moyers officiating. Leda's family will receive friends one hour before the service.

Interment will be private in the Lahmansville Cemetery.
