Kathleen Alice “Skippy” Clark, age 74 of Petersburg, WV went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA.
She was born June 8, 1946 in Dumfries, Virginia and was a daughter of the late George Cleveland Clark Sr. and Kathleen Morgan Clark. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George C. Clark Jr. and David Clark; five sisters. Mary Elizabeth Barnette, Dorothy Mae Conley, Sarah Virginia Davis, Helen Joyce Jones and Dawn Faye Treat.
Kathleen is survived by her daughter, Cassie (Ben) Hanlin of Petersburg, WV; two grandsons, Joseph E. Hanlin and Marshall C. Hanlin; her sister, Ellen Clark of Fredericksburg, VA; numerous nieces and nephews.
Ms. Clark retired from Fort Belvoir after 37 years with the United States Government. After her retirement Kathleen worked as a CNA at Grant Rehabilitation and Care Center for many years until she retired to spend time with her grandsons who were her "pride and joy". She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandsons. She was a lifelong member of the Assemblies of God.
Funeral service will be Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Schaeffer Funeral Home with the Rev. Ray Biscamp officiating. Family will receive friends from 12 Noon till time of service at 2. Interment will follow in Mt. Storm Cemetery, Mt. Storm, WV.
Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, all individuals entering the funeral home will be required to maintain social distancing and wear a face covering at all times.
